في تطور مروع يبرز مشكلة الاتجار بالبشر، تم الكشف مؤخرا عن احتجاز مجموعة من المهاجرين الأفارقة في مدينة الكفرة الليبية، حيث يتم ابتزاز أسرهم لدفع فدية.
واختطفت الأثيوبية نعيمة جمال، البالغة من العمر 20 عاما، عند وصولها إلى ليبيا في مايو 2024، وباتت واجهة لهذه الأزمة بعد نشر صور وفيديوهات تظهرها مقيدة وتحت التهديد.
وأكدت منظمة “ميديتيرانيا سايفينغ هيومن” أن جمال ونحو 50 مهاجرا آخرين يجلسون في ظروف مزرية، معصوبي الأعين ورؤوسهم بين أرجلهم، وطلب من أسرهم دفع فدية قدرها 6000 دولار للإفراج عن كل فرد.
وتسلط الصور والمقاطع المروعة التي تم نشرها الضوء على الوضع الأمني المتدهور في ليبيا، حيث تتنامى ظاهرة الإتجار بالبشر.
وتدعو المنظمات الحقوقية والمنصات الإعلامية إلى تحرك دولي لمعالجة هذه الأزمة وضمان حماية حقوق الإنسان للمهاجرين الذين يجدون أنفسهم عالقين في هذا النوع من الأوضاع المروعة.
يذكر أن ليبيا حصلت على 8.5 من 10 نقاط في مجال الاتجار بالبشر حسب مؤشر الجريمة المنظمة العالمي، وتشير تقارير إلى وجود حوالي 700,000 مهاجر غير شرعي في ليبيا، معظمهم من دول إفريقيا جنوب الصحراء.
وفي يناير 2024، قُدّر أن ما بين 4,000 و10,000 مهاجر ولاجئ كانوا محتجزين في 11 مركز احتجاز تابع لجهاز مكافحة الهجرة غير الشرعية في ليبيا، بالإضافة إلى عدد غير معروف في مراكز احتجاز غير رسمية تديرها جماعات مسلحة.
